Very attractive Japanese fern with deep olive green fronds growing up to 45 cm. Moist free-draining soil in moderate to deep shade. Deciduous and hardy. Makes a very good specimen plant and does well in a pot.
Alpine Wood Fern Hardy semi-evergreen fern, with tufts of erect, narrow fronds up to 150cm. Frond ribs covered in yellow hairs when young, which turn black with age, giving this fern its distinctive look. Good quality moist garden soil in shade and away from heat in summer.
