Large dusky pink flowers to 25cm in spring with the new foliage. Deciduous in acidic humus rich soil in shade.
Also: E. wushanense Spiny Leaves. Rare Chinese Epimedium wushanense introduced in 2006 by Darrell Probst; and named by Plant Delights Nursery in USA. Low growing cultivar.
A very recently discovered and (to the best of our knowledge) yet unnamed species discovered by Darrell Probst, who introduced it in 2010. It appears however to have adopted the name “Simple Beauty”.
