Fortune’s Holly Fern – Evergreen fern from Japan with semi-erect light green holly-shaped pinnate fronds. Can grow to 120cm, normally around 50cm height and spread. Grow in dappled shade shade and fertile humus rich soil.
Alpine Wood Fern Hardy semi-evergreen fern, with tufts of erect, narrow fronds up to 150cm. Frond ribs covered in yellow hairs when young, which turn black with age, giving this fern its distinctive look. Good quality moist garden soil in shade and away from heat in summer.

Interrupted Fern So named because the fertile segments of the fruiting fronds are carried in between lengths of barren frond rib. Deciduous fern with fronds growing to 150cm in mature plants. Neutral to acid rich soil in sheltered shade or semi-shade.
