Bright pink backed clear white thrum. Grasp-blooming, slender petals forming a loose cup. A floribund and reliable sakurasu cultivar.
The name translates as “Silver Braid”. We are told that the phonetic spellings of Gin-pukurin and Ginfukurin probably translate from the same Japanese name. It is possible for two distinct cultivars to have the same name due to the way that they are named in Japan. The photograph of Gin-pukurin in Mr Tsuneo Torii’s book shows that our form is reliable. Ginfukurin is not listed. However, both cultivar forms are very distinct and collectible and will not be the result of a chance seedling. We keep both forms.
