Japanese woodland grass. Herbaceous clump forming grass that forms graceful mounds swaying on the breeze. Green leaves in spring and summer turn to orange-red shades through autumn, once the grass is established, with clouds of fine seed heads in late autumn. H&S 30-40cm after 2-3 years. Hardy.
Plant in good quality free-draining soil that does not dry out, away from the strongest sun, eg north aspect or in partial to full shade. Leave old foliage through the winter and tidy the plant in early spring.
