Rose backed semi-double cultivar, often with large secondary petals.
Our collection semi-double sieboldii all exhibit a variable trait on the extent of the double-petalling. In good weather years the flowers will show the double nature. In poor weather seasons the flowers will often revert to single blooms for the year.
This cultivar is one of the survivors from a group known as the “Kew Collection”. This choice group of cultivars was deposited anonymously at Kew Gardens many years ago. The collection itself is now held at the Rosemoor RHS garden in North Devon.
