Dwarf form of the deciduous Japanese native, Epimedium grandiflorum. New foliage of is pale blue-bronze. Flower spikes up to 25cm, with violet flowers.
Evergreen perennial, with new growth in early spring. Orange/yellow flowers over deep green leaves, in spring and early summer. Plant in light shade, away from summer drought and winter waterlogging, but water in well in its first year. Plant Breeder’s Rights apply
A recently discovered and (to the best of our knowledge) yet unnamed species discovered by Darrell Probst, who introduced it in 2010. It appears however to have adopted the name “Simple Beauty” on the internet. Unusual in that the large glossy elongated leaves appear singly, rather in their normal triplet form.
