Undulated Hart’s Tongue Native form which forms small clumped rosettes of narrow wavy evergreen fronds, to 25cm height. Humous-rich soil, well drained but moist with reasonably neutral pH. Semi-shaded aspect.

Hart’s Tongue Fern Compact, evergreen fern with narrow leathery green fronds growing to 45cm. Clumps in rosette of arching fronds with ruffled edges. Native origin. Humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil, in semi-shade. Tolerant of dry shade once established, so water regularly during the first season and mulch well.

Alpine Wood Fern Hardy semi-evergreen fern, with tufts of erect, narrow fronds up to 150cm. Frond ribs covered in yellow hairs when young, which turn black with age, giving this fern its distinctive look. Good quality moist garden soil in shade and away from heat in summer.
