Flat blooming, snowflake petalled thrum. Pure white flowers. This is the cultivar that everyone wanted after we were featured on BBC Gardener’s World in 2013.
Small flowered, deep pink with white spots at the centre. Narrow, notched flat snowflake petals. Sourced from Japan, the name translates as “Red Dragonfly”. A very attractive Sakurasu which dates from the late 1800s.
This Primula sieboldii cultivar petal colour is a rich pink, but it “sports” heavily. Sporting cultivars are popular in Japanese collections.
